The 2023 Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Asian Pacific Orthodontic Society (APOS) Executive Committee Members (ECM) was held on 15th May 2023 in conjunction with the 14th Annual Congress of the Orthodontic and Dentofacial Orthopaedic Association of Nepal (ODOAN) at Park Village Resort, Kathmandu, Nepal.
The AGM was called to order by APOS President Dr. Roberto Tan at 10.00 am. The Secretary-General, Dr. Kieran O'Neill, did the Roll Call, mentioning the names of each Office Bearer and Executive Committee Member from the eleven Affiliate member societies present, plus the two resource persons.

The APOS President, Dr. Roberto Tan, gave a welcome address and thanked the Orthodontic and Dentofacial Orthopaedic Association of Nepal for hosting this AGM.

The Nepal team received congratulations from the other members for their success at the meeting.
After the approval of the proposed agenda for the 2023 AGM, ratification of the minutes of the 2022 APOS AGM was carried out and approved. The President’s, Secretary-General’s, and Treasurer’s reports and the APOS Journal report from Dr. Eric Liou were announced and approved on the floor. After the Secretary-General’s report, all the attendees stood for a minute of silence in memory of Emeritus Professor Kazuo Tanne for his invaluable contribution to the APOS.

The committee reports that Dr. Kelvin Chang (APOS Website Editor) presented his report on the website, and some statistics were analyzed to optimize the website management. Dr. Somchai Satravaha (the APFORE Chairman) presented her report on the foundation. To achieve the core value of the foundation: research and education, improving the promotion and keep seeking sponsorship are also important besides hosting seminars or research projects. The 13th APOC post-conference report by Dr. Il-Hyung Yang (KAO ECM) had been previously circulated. A total of over 3,000 people participated in the Conference, including over 370 foreign participants from 33 orthodontic associations around the world. The conference provided attendees with valuable insights and cross-cultural exchange. The vice APOS president, Dr. Zakir Hossein presented the 5th Residents Forum report. Once the forum details are formulated by the local organizing committee, the information will be relayed to APOS ECMs of each affiliation. For the 14th APOC, Dr. Spinx Lu (TAO ECM) spoke to his report. The meeting will be held at the TaiNEX 2, Taipei, from Dec. 3 through Dec. 5, 2024. Besides the main sessions, a special program, "Rising Stars of APOS", will be held in parallel. It will be a great opportunity for young clinicians and outstanding researchers to be noticed at this stage. Before the 3-day conference, there will be a 2024 Residents' Forum on Dec. 2. The 2024 AGM will be arranged on Dec. 5. Last, Dr. Geraldine Lee (AOS ECM) made the 15th APOC Progress Report. AOS looks forward to welcoming all the affiliated Associations/ Societies to Singapore in 2026.
After all the issues on the agenda were finished, the 2023 AGM adjourned at 12.09 pm. A group photo was taken, and all the attendees cherished the friendship with joyful smiles.
